Pure Storage a obnova polních cest v Libři

V sobotu 26.3. jsme se sešli s 36 dobrovolníky ze spol. Pure Storage. Bylo krásné, slunečné počasí a čekala nás výsadba 63 stromků (31 ovocných + 32 lip/dubů) a 35keřů. Naší první zastávkou byla cesta za vesnicí mezi poli, kde jsme se seznámili s nářadím, technikou výsadby a pak se s chutí pustili do vysazení 18 ovocných stromků (vše původní odrůdy). Po krátkém čase se všichni dostali do provozní teploty a než by člověk řekl „třešeň", bylo vše hotové a již jsme se přesouvali na druhou lokalitu (cyklostezku). Tam nás po krátké pauze a vítaném občerstvení čekalo 13 ovocných stromků a 16 lip a 16 dubů. Pracovní tempo se neustále zvyšovalo, nechyběla dobrá nálada, kterou zvyšovali projíždějící cyklisti, kteří sázející dobrovolníky odměňovali pochvalným uznáním a díky. Po vysázení všech stromků nás čekalo ještě 35 ovocných keřů u dětského hřiště, které byly vysázené rychlostí světla. Následoval zasloužený odpočinek a opékání buřtů na místním hřišti. Všichni byli opálení, unavení a spokojení, že se mohli podílet na tom, aby se vrátil ráz vesnické krajiny tak, jak jí znávali naši dědové, když byli dětmi. Velké díky spol. Pure Storage, že akci sponzorovali a zároveň se podíleli na výsadbě a doufáme, že se dříve nebo později na "své" stromky přijedou podívat, tak jak jim vzkázal starosta obce.
On Saturday 26th March, we met with 36 volunteers from the company Pure Storage. There was pleasant, sunny weather and we had the plan to plant 63 trees (31 fruit trees and 32 linden/oak trees) and 35 bushes. Our first planting location was by the path between the fields behind the village where everybody got acquainted with the equipment, the technique of planting and then we started planting 18 fruit trees. After a short while everybody got into the rhythm and before you could say "cherry", everything was complete and we moved to the second planting location by the bicycle route. After a short break and some refreshments, 13 fruit trees, 16 linden trees and 16 oak trees were waiting for us to plant them. The progress was ever faster and there was plenty of good humour, which was occasionally amplified by the cyclists passing by who rewarded the volunteers with thanks and recognition for their work. After we were done with all the trees, there were 35 fruit bushes waiting by the children's playground and these were planted with the speed of light. Then it was finally time for the well-deserved rest and barbecue by the football field. Everybody was tanned, tired and happy with having contributed to returning the appearance of the local countryside to the times when our grandparents were still children. And the mayor himself invites them to come back sooner or later to have a look at "their" trees.
